- Implement Odoo Sales in Bahrain with Shyphan, an Official Odoo Partner. From quotation to signed order to invoice, without re-keying anything.
- Best suited to
- Businesses in Bahrain that have outgrown spreadsheets and disconnected tools and want one system rather than several that need reconciling.
- Typical timeline

Odoo Sales in Bahrain
Odoo Sales is used across Manama, Riffa and Muharraq by businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and disconnected tools. As an Official Odoo Partner, Shyphan implements Odoo Sales end to end - configuration, data migration, integration, training and support - on a fixed quote with milestone dates.
Every rollout is localised for Bahrain: 10% VAT returns filed with the National Bureau for Revenue (NBR), BHD and multi-currency working, Arabic & English interfaces, and SIO contributions and end-of-service indemnity handled in payroll. That localisation is not a settings page - it is configured against your own transactions and tested before go-live.
Odoo Sales does not run in isolation: it shares one database with the rest of Odoo, so the numbers your operational team works from and the numbers finance reports are the same records. A Bahraini business with clean data typically goes live in three to six weeks, and we tell you which case you are in before you commit.

Where Odoo Sales is weak - and what we do about it
Complex CPQ - configure, price, quote with engineering rules and guided selling - is not native. Commission calculation is basic and usually ends up in a spreadsheet or a custom module.
How we handle it: Simple variants and optional products work out of the box; genuine CPQ we build in Studio, and we say so before you buy.
What compliance in Bahrain means in practice
Bahrain has no personal income tax and no general corporate income tax, so most of the compliance load sits in two places: VAT with the National Bureau for Revenue, and the workforce obligations administered by the SIO and the LMRA.
| Obligation | What the rule is | What has to be configured |
|---|---|---|
| VAT | VAT is 10 per cent, raised from 5 per cent in January 2022. Registration is compulsory above the mandatory threshold. Returns are monthly for larger taxpayers and quarterly for the rest, filed with the National Bureau for Revenue. | Tax codes for standard, zero-rated and exempt supplies, tax invoices carrying the fields the NBR requires in Arabic and English, and a return that reconciles to the ledger. |
| Corporate taxation | There is no general corporate income tax; it applies only to oil and gas activity. A 15 per cent Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax applies to in-scope multinational groups from 2025. | For a group subsidiary, a ledger that supports the parent's consolidation and the top-up tax computation without a separate set of books. |
| Social insurance | Contributions go to the Social Insurance Organisation, at different rates for Bahraini and expatriate employees. | Two contribution rule sets applied by nationality, so the payroll does not need a manual adjustment every month. |
| Bahrainisation and the LMRA | The Labour Market Regulatory Authority administers work permits and the Bahrainisation ratio your licence requires. | Nationality, permit number and expiry held against every employee, with the ratio reported rather than counted by hand, and permit expiry alerts before they bite. |
| Wage Protection System | Salaries must be paid through the Wage Protection System so that payment is traceable to the registered employment record. | A WPS-format payment file generated from the payroll run, matched to the same employee records the permits are held against. |
| Commercial registration | Commercial registrations are maintained through Sijilat and renewed annually, with activity codes that have to match what you actually do. | Licence and registration expiry tracked in the system alongside the contracts that depend on them. |

We configure the system to produce what these returns ask for, and we test it against your own transactions before go-live. We are not tax agents: your accountant or tax adviser signs the return, and rates and thresholds change, so treat this as the shape of the work rather than advice. Last reviewed 15 September 2026.
